Skills, process and experience are essential in the growing field of coaching. I’ve spent hundreds of hours in one-on-one coaching sessions with men and women from around the world, in addition to workshops and speaking engagements. I’ve mentored other coaches and worked with faculty at Wholebeing Institute and Duke Integrative Medicine as teaching assistant and mentor.
In 2017, I became one of the first board certified health coaches in the country. This new certification and the related health coach education programs have grown out of a recognition that in addition to traditional and complementary medicine, there is a dire need for a longer term partnership with people seeking health and wellness change. Change is hard. There is a science behind how to do it.
